Maximum Ride Series

This book is about a girl named Max. Max has a flock of kids with her. Why is the group a flock? Max's group is running/FLYING away from mutant wolf/humans called Erasers. Max and her flock are a bunch of mutant bird kids. This group is made up of 14 year olds Max and Fang, 11 year old, Iggy, 8 year old Gazzy or Gasman, and 6 year old Angel. All of them can fly. These kids are just finding out their powers and in later books, they begin to mutate themselves. James Patterson has written and is still writing adult books. But this growing series is childrens' books. One of my friends suggested Maximum Ride books and I just kept reading them.
